Attn: Special Olympic Athletes' Parents Guardians
All parents/guardian with athletes who want to participate in Special Olympics must create an account on the new digital platform at https://portals.specialolympics.org.
Follow this Step-by-Step guide to complete the information.
1. Create Your Special Olympics Account
All parents/guardians will need to create an account by visiting https://portals.specialolympics.org/.
Please note:
· The first Special Olympics account you create is for YOU as the parent/guardian.
· After creating your parent/guardian account, you will then add your athlete(s) within your portal.
When creating your account:
· Select Region E .
· Click the + button and choose Northern Will County SRA to connect to our agency.
Make sure your place your signature on the correct signature line.
Once your account is set up, add your athlete(s) and complete their required Checklist, which includes:
· Health History Form (no doctor signature needed; can be signed electronically by you)
· Athlete Acknowledgment Form
2. Special Olympics New Health History Policy:
· Medical Forms signed by doctors will no longer be required or accepted.
· Instead, you will complete and e-sign the Health History Form as the parent/guardian for your athlete to participate in Regional and State events.
Accounts must be created as soon as possible, or before an athlete participates in Special Olympic competitions.
For assistance in creating accounts on the new platform, contact Carrie Henry at chenry@nwcsra.org or 815-552-9771.pa

I think we were just as excited as Luke to start NWCSRA basketball! It’s been a minute and we really missed our fellow NWCSRA athletes and families. I can’t say enough about how NWCSRA staff and management have shown up for our athletes. Like, literally, they are in the stands cheering for our kids! We’ve seen so much support❤️

The NWCSRA Athletic program has been positive not only for our daughters but for our family. Having a good variety of sport programs allow our daughters to choose the sports they would like to participate in. And as an added bonus the girls have formed lasting friendships with the other participants!
