Adult Day Program

NWCSRA’s Adult Day Program is designed to meet the needs of adults with disabilities 18 years and older who are no longer serviced through the school district. This program provides year-round social and recreational activities to enhance the quality of life for our participants, focusing on peer interactions, community integration, leisure independence, and basic life skills through a variety of weekly activities.

Adult Programs

We believe our participants thrive when they are able to socialize with their peers in a safe and friendly environment. Adult programs are often community based, designed to provide adults with disabilities the opportunity to practice life skills such as decision-making, problem solving, communication, self-awareness through socialization, new experiences, and having fun!

Youth Programs

The youth programs NWCSRA offers are designed to provide opportunities for personal growth through activities that are both challenging and fun. Our goal is to encourage youth and teens with disabilities to explore new interests, improve their social skills, build their confidence and self-esteem, connect with others, and develop friendships in a welcoming environment.

Day Camp

NWCSRA’s Summer Day Camp program is designed to provide a community-based recreational experience for all children with special needs. NWCSRA Day Camps provide a structured environment in which to enjoy productive leisure activities.

Sensory Oasis

Our sensory room at NWCSRA is a therapeutic space used to facilitate self-organization, self-regulation, relaxation, and personalized sensory input. In this safe and nurturing environment, individuals can calm and focus themselves to deescalate from stress and anxiety to better prepare for interactions with others. Benefits include communication skills, decreased stress, improved focus, socialization, awareness of self, and learning self-control.

Veteran Services

NWCSRA provides veteran services to assist in the challenges some might face when returning home with injuries or disabilities – whether it can be seen with the eye or not. Along with free monthly events provided to network fellow veterans and family members, qualified veterans will receive a free, one-year fitness membership at their local park district or village fitness center with personal training sessions.
